Nothing serves the soul better than a good book, a filling dose of intellectual goodness. The Loring Art bookstore does just that for the spirits of art fans. Since Loring’s doors opened in 1996, the tiny tienda has been serving customers spoonfuls of art and literary genius, from architectural masterpieces to art-inspired magazines. Their collection includes Michel Ciment’s Film World, which is filled with interviews of top film directors and Of Sugar and Snow, Jeri Quinzio’s peculiar complete history of ice cream making. Among the shelves full of books, diaries and bookmarks, are loads of other little goodies that would make lovely gifts for any art geek. Hungry for some art lit? Don’t wait!
