As if it wasn’t hard enough to pull away from the computer and stop sending friends virtual bottles of champagne, going low on the Internet with high school classmates and updating our status in the most clever of ways, Facebook is now moving into the mobile market. Hoping to capitalize on the world’s obsession mobile company 3 is offering – just in time for the holidays – a mobile phone that seamlessly integrates Facebook with standard cellphone functions. The phone, known as INQ1 ‘Ink One’ shoots the user into automatic contact with their social network by the simple press of a button. Not only that, but it also links with Windows Live Messenger, last.fm and Skype. Unfortunately, it will only be offered to Facebook fans in the UK, Australia and Hong Kong starting in December. But, there is hope for INQ1 world domination along the same lines as the Facebook infiltration of recent years. For now, at least in Spain, we will have to do with only being able to update our status and such by the comfort of the computer.
