MC battles, break-dance crew competitions and even choreography contests, along with graffiti, concerts and conferences complete this year’s Hipnotik festival agenda. Celebrating 25 years of hip-hop in Spain, the festival’s sixth edition welcomes a few international acts but focuses on national talents including 7 Notas 7 Colores, CPV and Nach. Hipnotik hopes to increase the exposure of Spain’s homegrown artists in what appears to be a slow, rather than steady growth of hip-hop in the country’s culture. Hip-hop is not just a music style. For fans it is a way of life, in which the music is only one part of a unique urban form of self-expression that combines dance, graphic arts and clothing. The festival will be held at the CCCB and Mercat de les Flors.
September 11th – 13th

**Please note that 7 Notas 7 Colores has canceled.**
