The self defense and lifestyle industries combined recently to launch a new brand of 21st Century personal protection weapon. Whereas tasers are nothing new in the law-enforcement world, hot pink or leopard skin versions certainly are, and these slim line stun guns are being marketed at those discerning private individuals who value looking good alongside feeling safe. Zapping would-be assassins with 50,000 volts of electrical charge might sound fun enough, but try doing it along to your own personal soundtrack – these fashion-fryers also come with a built in 1GB mp3 player. Arizona-based Taser International sells the industry-dubbed iTaser, claiming the product “allows for both personal protection and personal music for people on the go”.
