Originally seen as part of a gentleman’s proper attire, brooches for men – yes for men – add a charming, individual touch to an otherwise bland outfit. No longer just worn by grandmothers, the new range of brooches now adorn the lapels of male models – off and on the runway – and celebrities. Despite being gentlemanly the designs are developed from the old and hardly effeminate Anglo-Saxon, Celtic and Viking times. Fashion goes around in circles but doesn’t usually take this long to come back around. This trend though is set to stick around through summer into fall and will not only impress the cougars out there, but also the younger ladies.
