The latest gadget thrown into the high-tech paper ring is Oxford’s PaperShow. First used in business conference rooms, it may just be the latest obsession of authors, teachers and even schoolchildren. Unlike other futuristic paper products, Oxford’s device combines old-school paper with instant on-screen gratification. PaperShow comes with a Bluetooth USB, digital pen and special paper pack. Plug the USB into the computer. Draw, scribble or scribe with the digital pen on the paper provided. Everything written wirelessly shoots to the computer for instant electronic viewing and sharing. Colors, shapes, borders and more can be changed immediately with the digital pen and diagram guides given. The pack is currently available to PC users. Mac folks will have to wait till the end of 2009 to use the magical digital pen wands. The price may seem high for an individual. However, omitting the time required to transfer hand-written notes from scattered scraps of paper into an email is priceless.
