Officially one of the coolest gadgets miniguide* has encountered, the Polaroid PoGo reintroduces a piece of Old Skool technology to the modern digital age. The ‘Instant Mobile Printer’ connects via USB or Bluetooth to your digital camera or mobile phone and allows you to print photos like they used to make them in a matter of seconds. Gone is the chunky square box-feel of the classic Polaroid instamatic camera, and instead a sleek, pocket-sized battery-powered printer, ideal for sharing those holiday snaps before you’ve even checked out of the hotel, brings Polaroid back to the fore. The really smart thing about the PoGo, however, is its ZINK (zero-ink) technology that makes it highly efficient and part of the next generation of devices. Colour-embedded heat-sensitive paper is activated by the printer’s technology, creating amazingly sharp 2 X 3” images that are more durable than traditional ink-based prints.
