This DIY (Do-It-Yourself) project comes from Anita García, the founder of Alehop! a “lab workshop” that seeks to turn the waste created by the Penitentiary System in Catalunya into household treasures, as well as give regular people the tools to do so. One of the main materials that can be re-worked is Kraft cardboard. It can be fashioned into sofas, chairs, magazine holders and much more.

The goods:

-1 box cutter

-1 ruler

-1 pencil

-Superglue

-2 A4 paper box lids

The steps:

1. Cut each lid on an angle, cutting off a large portion of the top corner.

2. Cover the insides with Superglue

3. Paste the two parts together.

4. The pieces left over can be used to make mini-magazine holders.
