Stubbed your toe? Gotten wryneck or a nasty crick in the back from trying out different sex positions? For those who like to dabble in the different poses the Kama Sutra, Internet and popular men’s and women’s magazines offer, Mexico City-based design firm Balastudio has a line of erotic furniture that will all but banish embarrassing sex accidents. Be warned though, some of the phallic and insect-like designs clash with traditional home interior styles.

One of the more appealing erotic pieces from Balastudio is the Barbarella chair. A pink Q-shaped chair made of fiberglass, aluminum, vinyl and polyurethane, it is meant to provide comfort to both the giver and receiver of cunnilingus. The space-age chair was the first piece in the erotic collection fashioned by former ballet dancer-turned-designer Xanath Lammoglia and industrial design professor Andres Amaya. The erotic series also includes El Montao and its revamped version, the Adela chair, made specifically to support more challenging tantric postures and which bears a striking resemblance to the sinister dining room furniture from Beetlejuice. If it’s the bathroom, where all the hanky panky will occur, Xanath and Andres offer Wet Conexion, a shower cabin outfitted with holes for a very sexy erotic game—it’ll get you clean too.
