Designer Elizabeth Dilk has come up with the Kit to Thwart Writers Block, a clever solution to creative constipation. When it comes to doing the writing deed – vices on both sides and a soft pillow for extra back comfort – literary stage fright often strikes. Accompanied by a kind of brain freeze, earlier superb schemes quickly fly off into a literary no-man’s land filled with fiction character cast-offs and invention ideas that never came to fruition. The kit came about when Dilk was asked to take something she hated, provide a solution, and market it. Dilk’s kit comes packed with pre-chewed pencils, a type of die to spark inspiration and pads a plenty.
