It's Friday, why not head over to Dudua in the Born, C/ Rossic, 6, and check out the opening of Didixtra y Guillaume: FANS at 8pm. The quirky shop that specializes in crocheted hamburgers, cacti and the like, made by way of amigurumi hosts the art opening for an exhibition that mixes music and art. After several groups covered songs by the likes of Depeche Mode and Mecano, they put 'em on disk and these two talented artistes designed the covers. At the exhibition you can listen to the tunes and vote for your favorites-- FREE!

Sunday, for all those BCN transplants from countries like the US, Australia and much of South America, it will be Mother's Day, so don't forget to call, send an e-card, smoke signal, whatever you feel will reach the woman who brought you into the world and make her feel special and celebrated. This Sunday, too, might as well be CCCB day as every Sunday exhibitions at BCN's modern art stop are, what's that magic word we like to hear during times o' credit crunchin'? FREE! Between 3pm and 8pm. Sunday night, part of Xcentric, the CCCB's film programming dedicated to films that get limited attention, Standard Operating Procedure,an Errol Morris investigation into what was truly going on in Abu Ghraib, before the horrifying torture snapshots came to light will be shown. Like all Xcentric films, it will in original version, English, with subtitles in Catalan. Film starts at 6.30pm and entrance is only 3.60 euros, pick up tickets at the CCCB or call Telentrada (902 10 12 12). The CCCB website also politely requests promptness.
