The shady way PC Green is luring shoppers to their store...I almost got the wool pulled over my eyes...

Everyone has their vulnerable moments, mine happen to be in the am before I've had a cup of tea, when I seem to walk around in a pre-green tea haze.

My flash drive decided to die on me the other day, although I was lucky enough to squeeze five minutes more of life out of it, just enough to transfer files onto my computer. So, I was off to hunt for a new flash drive before getting to work. With the colder weather it was already hard to talk my body into getting out of bed and as I dragged myself out of the apartment and into the world, I was blurry-eyed and a bit slow on the go, needed green tea and fast, but that wouldn't come till I purchased a new flash drive and got to the office.

First stop, PC City on Ronda Sant Antoni, and a stop at the wall of flash drives, I was looking for Lexar, the brand I had trusted my most precious docs to over the past four years, but no, there was Kingston, HP and other unrecognizable brands, and the prices, well, hefty, about 17.99 for 4GB....as I looked I heard a voice from behind and thought, wow, someone in here is actually trying to help me, instead it was another 'shopper' who said he was also looking for flash drives, but PC city was too pricey and I would get a better deal at PC Green. So, I thanked him and headed out the store, he then appeared behind me and said, "I'm also going back to by the flash drive." Ok, I thought, still sort of sleep walking through life.

When I got to PC Green he went through a different entrance, almost like he worked there, this is when my brain showed sparks of life and I thought, maybe he works here and just wanted to bring my business to PC Green, nah, I thought. I was stopped by the PC Green guard who informed me that both my purse and the bag with my breakfast pastries had to be locked up. Ok, then he told me it cost a euro, I pulled out my wallet, searched through the change, no euro, forget it, can't be bothered and I grunted and scurried across the street to Miro.

Again I stood before a wall of flash drives, this time more slim pickings, but brands I recognized like imation and such and here it was 17.99 for 8GB, nice!!!! As I compared two drives, another voice and body appeared directly behind me, I hugged my bag close to me, and when I turned around an older man with one of those weird facial hair strips below his lower lip said, "I am also looking for one of those, but here, the prices are so high, these are much cheaper just across the street". Hmmmmmm...I thought, cheeky men!

So, is this some new kind of scam? Or was it just the first time PC Green attempted to pull the wool over my eyes, all I know is, never going out of the house again without that first cup o' tea!
