It usually goes that you look at a flat and have about five minutes to decide if you want to buy or not. With the agent staring you down and making like the phone is ringing off the hook for the minute quartersoutfitted with one of those bathrooms with the toilet and shower combo like on a boat, where one showers above the 'throne', nine times out of ten you give in and take the place, even though, the upstairs or downstairs neighbors might be crazy, the plumbing in the whole building out of whack and the noise and stench from the late night garbage collection on the street below too much to bear. Of course, you don't know this, because you only spent about 15 minutes checking out the place.
From Friday June 12th to Sunday, June 14th, the Salón Meeting Point Low Cost will not only provide solutions for those looking to buy or sell flats in this less than perfect market, but also will have a program created by Tomás Martí that incporporates trail periods into the piso buying search.
Martí's program lets several people/couples live in an apartment for a bit, get familiar with the neighbors, neighborhood, test out the pipe strength and then has the guests battle it out for ownership with a private auction. A test run, as they do with cars, this may just revolutionize the industry. At the very least, hopefully it will de-stress the most indecisive of us in making that big life decision.
