Get here early since this bar’s been packed since it opened in 2009. Its dark interior, toy décor, great music, quality cocktails and indie vibe all come together to create a nostalgic space where cultured but unassuming urbanites congregate to enjoy a few drinks.

Celebrate the 80s on Wed with Madonna to Michael Jackson to Queen, or Mon with 80s & 90s Spanish rock & pop; Tue you’ll hear Spanish indie and Thu get grungier with Beastie Boys to Guns N' Roses. The house cocktails, like the Delorean or Balboa, are made with fresh fruit, tropical influences from the bar’s Latin American owners. Snacks include nachos, hotdogs and free popcorn. Reserve a bucket of 30 beers with popcorn, chips and guacamole for €50, good for birthdays.

The space also hosts cultural activities like film screenings (The Goonies on Jul 10) and an art & fashion market (Jul 8).

Sor Rita takes kitsch to a whole new level. Colorful, crude and wonderfully tacky, the bar is part ironic altar, part stripper’s dressing room.
