Barcelona cultivates a fetish and BDSM scene that is diverse, open and friendly. (BDSM encompasses various practices including bondage & discipline, dominance & submission, sadomasochism and slave & master.) Various clubs in the city welcome newcomers such as Rosas Cinco, En la Órbita de Io or, if you want to start strong, Berlin Dark. On Thursday, Rosas Cinco welcomes neophytes to this particular world; just stop by, look around and see how you feel (but make sure to dress in black).
You might also attend a workshop on BDSM practices. Rosas Cincos offers frequent introductory sessions, as does EspacioPráctico on Carrer de Tarros in La Ribera, and at amantis Gràcia this month we will be holding a Tantra, Dominance & Submission workshop that explores the more spiritual side of BDSM.
