As its name suggests, ArtFutura is a culture and digital creativity festival inspired by new and developing technologies. Based in Bilbao, this three-day festival now stretches to twelve cities of the Spanish-speaking world with exhibitions, live performances, workshops and more focusing on transnational developments in new media, video games, interactive design and digital animation.

Highlights of this year's program include conferences with indie film director Rosto, focusing on his new short The Monster of Nix, a dark animated musical featuring the voice of Tom Waits and music from The Residents, and David Dworsky and Victor Köhler's PressPausePlay. Featuring interviews with artists and entrepreneurs such as Moby, Napster's Sean Parker and Christopher Weingarten of Rolling Stone, this documentary explores creativity in the digital era, questioning whether new technologies allow for greater artistic expression, or if genuine talent is being drowned out by mass culture.
