If you're an art buff, a comic book geek or something in between, you're bound to appreciate Enric Font's solo exhibit Bon dia, Senyor Strumpff. Clearly influenced by cartoons and graphic novels, Font makes use of bright colors, unusual text fonts and onomatopoeia in his work, often displaying speech bubbles framing nonsensical words such as “Ofbf” or “Gruffr.” Though playful and colorful, his paintings also have a dark edge to them: his pieces feature figures with carrots, branches or tentacles emerging from shirt collars in place of a head, or dark eyes peering out from the bandages of a mummified face, blending humor and violence to create surreal, unsettling characters.

Combining simplistic freehand sketches, painstakingly detailed drawings, a sculpture of a human-vegetable crossbreed and more, Bon dia, Senyor Strumpff is the accumulation of an entire year's work, displaying Font's artistic process as well as the end product. Funny, creepy and rather bizarre, make sure you catch this strange collection before it closes.
