Every Wednesday night at Sala Apolo, resident DJ Mamaye skillfully stirs things up with a mixed set of hip hop, reggae, rock, afro-beat and whatever else she fancies, and is then joined by some form of musical act - dance troupes and drum bands have even been known to grace the Apolo stage - for the jumping crowd to feast their eyes and ears on. Upcoming guests for August include Mexican artist going by the name of Moyenei Sound System and Barcelona native DJ Matahari.
