From July 6th to the beginning of August, athletes, fans, and orange-shirted volunteers will all converge on Barcelona for the 20th European Athletics Championships. Among the events that will take place at the Estadi Olímpic on Montjuïc are the 20 km walk, discus throw, and 400 meter hurdles. Athletes are ready and raring to break old records and set new ones, with Spanish competitors such as 5000m champion Jesús España and high jumper Ruth Beitia keen to defend their titles. With morning passes available from €3 and day passes from €10 and free entry for under-6s, the games are open for everyone to enjoy as Barni, the Championships' mascot, cheers on athletes from across the continent.
