The concept of an after-hours party brings to mind hardcore clubbers, but Row 14, with its ElRow Sunday Mornings, attracts a diverse crowd. Rather than continuing past dawn from the night before, a surprising number of electronic music lovers wake up Sunday morning to enjoy its unique clubbing experience: quality DJs, open air terrace and vibrant, festival vibe.

The same group that organizes mega elec-tronic music festival Monegros owns Row 14 and owner Juan Arnau’s family opened Aragón’s legendary Florida 135 nightclub in the 40s. So with 70 years of clubbing experience under their belts, it’s no surprise that their selection of minimal techno and tech house rivals even that of Ibiza’s most popular nightclubs.

The terrace festivities kick off on June 5th with Argentine DJ Hernán Cattaneo, a well- known figure from the Chicago school of house, who will be joined by UK dance-floor destroyer Yousef. On June 12th the crew will deck out the 52 club in a series of themes – Andalucian Feria de Abril, Bollywood, Ibiza and Chinese New Year – promising something unforgettable.

For Sónar, they’re pulling out all the stops with parties every morning from 5am. June 17th features Spanish techno DJ Paco Osuna, Ameri- can house music producer Victor Calderone and minimal techno label M-nus with an unmissable “very special guest.” June 18th sees techno pioneer Chris Liebing and friends take to the decks with a funky style encompassing minimal, house and techno. June 19th brings minimal dark grooves from Adam Beyer, minimal techno by Paul Ritch, tribal and hard techno by Ben Sims and Umek from the Balkan techno scene.

Finally, Barcelona’s biggest party of the year, Sant Joan continuing into the morning of June 24th will go strong for 12 hours from 6:30am with former Deep Dish DJ Dubfire, Paco Osuna and tribal and house by Canadian Carlo Lio.

The club is located 8.5 miles (14 km) from the city center; they pay 20 euros toward a taxi trip for four and run buses every half hour from Plaça Catalunya (6am to 10am, return through club close) as well as from Sónar Night.

So dust off your party hat and colored shades and set your alarm next Sunday morning for a very unique “after” experience.
