Jol-ee-ooh. Catalan for “bluebell,” and the name of a new Poblenou plant concept store that fell straight out of the pages of Kinfolk.

Wading past leagues of spider plants and tiny potted cacti, you’ll exit the urban brouhaha and find yourself swallowed by the peace and serenity of what feels like a farmhouse. Wooden tables, crates of oranges and lemons, soft natural light. And to seal the deal, Nømad Coffee, cookies and homemade cake. Owner Lucía, a former Elisava design student, moved into this magical space with her multitude of plants on Carrer Badajoz earlier this year, a former carpenters’ workshop that has been kept almost completely intact.

With irregular stone walls and wooden beams adorned with greenery, it is a veritable oasis – the closest countryside escape this side of the Collserola hills.
