The lavish designer creates corsets to die for.

Launching her design career in 2000, Bibian Blue stole the spotlight with her very first collection. Gaining quite a following, the corset and glamor-wear designer opened her showroom in Barcelona in 2001. Since the opening of her store, the designer has made strides in the world of fashion.

This year’s 080 Barcelona fashion shows opened with Bibian Blue’s collection, resulting in great response. Fashion blogs around the world, including in China, featured photos and very positive write-ups about the designers work. Bibian recalls this moment as the best thing that has happened in her career so far. Another step towards greater success for the designer was the publication of Lacing Glamour, a compilation of photographs of the best work done by the designer, by Norma Editorial. They also began distribution in international outlets, particularly those in Europe.

Focusing on pin-up and burlesque styles over the years, Bibian has begun designing Steampunk collections as well, incorporating fantasy and a variety of new colors, such as gold and bronze, into her pieces. As well as new designs, the brand also has a new face, working with the model Baby Pin Up, who Bibian calls one of the most beautiful and photogenic girls around.
