Who’s Judee Sill, you might ask? A singer-songwriter from the 70s, she was the first artist signed to David Geffen’s Asylum Records. She released two acclaimed albums before dying of a drug overdose at the age of 35 in 1979. Ironically the album, which includes two previously unreleased tunes, is packed with big names like Beth Orton.
