DJOHNSTON Resident DJ for one of BCN’s top clubs, Sala BeCool. Offering up variety, he is the consummate musical host, running French techno nights ala Goodlife and flashback nights like ‘Look Back’, where he shares the decks with veterans like Black Devil Disco Club.

MARC PIÑOL Formerly known as DJ De Mierda. A guy with attitude, he also writes for go Mag. Many are waiting for him to publish his own work that he’s got stashed away. A resident DJ at Nitsa in Sala Apolo with Juan B and DJ Fra, his forte is Rephlexstyle warped noodly beats.

TONI ROX A veteran on the soulful house scene, this DJ originally from Madrid, where he was an MC at some of the coolest locales during the 90s, like Changó Club and Morocco, can now be found DJing at Marula Café, a new joint with its headquarters in Barcelona’s city center.

DJ SHAKIRA A Peruvian and BCN transplant, Shakira Benavides is a co-founder of Wah Wah Records, one of BCN’s most prestigious stores and a label for folk, rare groove and psychodelia. Her Sunday ‘DJ Shakira’s Lab’ sessions at Dostrece’s Lounge mix funk, Latin and bizarre soundtracks.
