Founded in Barcelona 1995, Drap-Art is a non-profit organisation that promotes creative recycling through festivals, exhibitions and workshops. Its aim is not only to enhance artistic recycling in the arts, but also to stimulate people to use the possibilities of everyday life and persuade society to transform its thinking about the environment. Recycling designers and artists, including the well known H.A. Schult who sees waste with more creative eyes, will show how to convert everyday rubbish into desirable and often amusing works of art. Drap-Art is more than an exhibition, it’s a spectacle taking place in eight spheres that include shows, performances, audiovisuals and workshops, where visitors can interact and express themselves with many diverse methods of trash-design.
