Judd Apatow's dramatic comedy gets some giggles. Carey Zamarriego

The exec producer of TV teen drama and cult classic, Freaks and Geeks – the cast now a group of go-to actors for Apatow’s flicks – is back for another romp in the comedic film playground. In addition to Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill and Leslie Mann, his latest cinematographic work stars former roommate, Adam Sandler. Sandler plays George Simmons, a comic coming to grips with a terminal illness. The plot is fairly sappy, as said comedian facing death realizes that life is about helping out those in need and changes his ways for the better. It is also packed with the kind of blunt and at times grotesque humor audiences have giggled over in other Apatow favorites like Superbad and Knocked Up.
