Sophisticated, sexy restaurant-bar serving world cuisine to a cosmopolitan crowd.

Bringing the exotic flavors of the world to its clientele, Rita Rouge is the sultry sister of the cool Rita Blue. Its red walls, zebra upholstered sofas, mosaic glass columns and brilliant Hindu mural attract a young, cosmopolitan crowd to wine and dine. The front entrance on carrer Carme – in use after 6pm only – opens up to an elegant bar offering an array of cocktails including the zingy Singapore Sling and a surprise ‘Cocktail of the Month’.

Mon-Sun 1.00pm-5.00pm and 8.00pm-1.00pm. Bar open from 11.00pm-2.00am. Fri-Sat until 3.00am.

Moving past the bar, you’ll find a dimly-lit, chic restaurant with tables available for groups, couples or a meal for one. The back holds an expansive terrace in Plaça Sant Augusti. Open all day, it’s the perfect place to sip on a mojito while taking in some sun. While the atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food has its own outstanding reputation.

The international menu boasts a mixture of Mediterranean and Oriental cuisine. Their large portions and unique options keep customers going back for more. Popular main dishes include the sizzling chicken, shrimp or beef fajitas and the Vera Raja, lamb in a flavorful curry sauce with cinnamon and cloves. Appetizers like their fried green tomatoes and cheese dip are just right to curb a midday appetite or to start off a full meal. Dinner is affordable, running between €15 and €30 per person, and the weekday midday menu including two dishes, drinks and dessert is only €11.

Adding to the international delicacies and cool vibe are their weekend events. DJ sessions, magic shows and art exhibtions are just some of the many surprises customers can enjoy. Don’t be shy, stop by and make it a rouge night.
