The Cookers are a crew who have read our taste buds’ moods. They are an events team who offer everything from cooking classes to wine-tasting evenings. This October will see them organize the second annual Film & Cook film festival. Film & Cook will see the worlds of food and cinema collide; there will be screenings of food-related films accompanied by tasting sessions and demonstrations.
If you can’t wait until then, check out their Catas y Maridajes (“tastings and pairings”) event on March 8th with Jean Leon, which will see The Cookers welcome wine brand Jean Leon to their headquarters. Whether you are a wine connoisseur or not, you will enjoy this laid back opportunity to be educated on the local Catalonian wines of Jean Leon. And with The Cookers on hand, you’ll be sure to get some tasty morsels to perfectly accompany the booze. Additional events in March include workshops on cocktails (March 29th), contemporary French cuisine (March 22nd & March 28th) and “miniature” cuisine such as hors d'oeuvres (March 21st).
When times are tough, it always brightens a day to come across some innovators who are keeping things playful and ambitious, especially if they’re offering food. Watch out for upcoming The Cookers events and be sure to show them some foodie love.
