Primavera Club arrives with more days but fewer acts for its second installment. Confusing, yes, but by no means a sign of a drop in quality.

Sonic Youth guitarist Thurston Moore presents his latest solo project, whilst the legendary Mark E. Smith plays with German avant-garde electro pop duo Mouse on Mars in his new act Von Südenfed. There’s a special focus on US groups with bands such as Bishop Allen, Joseph Arthur’s latest acoustic folk-rock collaboration with the Lonely Astronauts, and The Ponys with their groovy guitar rock. Returning to the festival after last year’s outstanding performance are Canadian group The New Pornographers. The festival also puts audiences in touch with both the national and local music landscape. One exceptional performance will certainly come from Albaialeix, a Barcelona band who are sure to enchant folk fans with their etherical, downbeat experimental tunes.
