This summer, join thousands of your friends for more than a week of glitter, muscles and mind-blowing music when Barcelona hosts Pride and shows the world why the city has become the gay capital of the Mediterranean. While Madrid may steal the show when it comes to attendance, our smaller pride celebration, now in its eighth edition, gets bigger every year. Pride brings together the community for a week of events celebrating diversity and human rights; the theme for this year’s event is Trans People: as Common as they are Diverse.

The program is action-packed, with parties around the city, talks, film projections, art exhibitions and other cultural activities and culminating on Friday and Saturday, July 8th and 9th, with the Pride Village festival at the port’s Moll de la Fusta and the Pride Parade that sets out on Saturday, July 9th at 5pm from Plaça Espanya and marches down Avinguda Paral·lel until it arrives at the Moll de la Fusta pier. If you’re still standing on Sunday, July 10th, head to the Apolo for the Churros con Chocolate closing party from 7pm (free entry till midnight, €10 thereafter).
