The teenage girl as artistic muse – fashion photographer Ramiro E celebrates, plays with and attempts to break the stereotypical trope in Favorite Girl, a new photobook and accompanying exhibit curated by Cristina Stölhe and Marc Tamajónat at Poblenou gallery and print shop The Folio Club.

With a lowbrow aesthetic and a penchant for the eccentric, the artist captures the eroticism and innocence of his female subjects in a series of portraits inspired by his ideal of the “fetishism of imperfection.” The book, the artist’s first, is published by Terranova and printed by The Folio Club and features 200 pages of works produced over twenty years.

Catch the book launch, complete with music by favorite girl Rhymma, at the exhibition opening on April 21st at 7:30pm.
