Opened in 2016, this visually striking space takes a gourmet twist on the traditional concept of a vermuteria. As a “gastro vermuteria” they serve high-quality vermouth alongside sophisticated small dishes such as marinated anchovies, grilled razor clams and Iberian ham croquettes.

There are oysters from France’s Brittany region too. La Vermuterie also houses a full Mediterranean restaurant, headed by chef Miguel Gil. Among Gil’s specialties are dishes from a Josper charcoal oven – à la indoor barbecue – like the Basque steak or daily fresh fish selection. Looking for something more exotic? Try the grilled Kataifi prawn starter or black seafood rice. There’s a strong selection of wines, cava and champagne. Open for all three meals, the set lunch menu runs €15.90 on weekdays.

Stop by for their Thursday “afterwork” sessions (6pm to 9pm) for live music or a DJ plus a free tapa with every drink – including well-mixed cocktails.
