Rosa del Raval, a cheap and cheerful Mexican joint, is now serving up brunch on weekends from 10am to 2pm. Your hangover won’t stand a chance against the huevos rancheros: fried egg served on corn tortilla with black beans, epazote (a Mexican herb), avocado, feta, chipotle aioli and pico de gallo.
Other choices include a Mexican scramble, breakfast burrito, chilaquiles (tortilla chips smothered in red or green sauce, beans, cheese, onion & sour cream). There’s also French toast, a nod to the gringo neighbors, or muesli if you’re feeling healthy. Wash it all down with a Mexican Bloody Mary, Margarita or fresh juice of the day (recently it was beet-carrot-pineapple).
The full menu, with tacos and much more, is available as well from 1pm.
