The beaches in Barcelona are without a doubt one of city’s worst-kept secrets. Hidden near renowned nightlife spots like Pacha and Opium is The Coconut Club, a little piece of paradise catering to tourists and locals alike. This refreshing break from the tourist traps in the area is infused with tropical vibes, living up to its name by serving fresh coconuts that can be enjoyed on a terrace overtaken by beautiful plants, or in the custom-designed interior space.

Order a house specialty cocktail like the Hurricane, Jamaican Julep or Knockout Punch (also available in jars). The food is fresh and homemade; fill up on a marinated fish Toca Taco, a Caribbean Coconut Stew or El Cubano Sano sandwich. Mains average about €10 a dish, from salads to burgers, with starters for even less. Fantastic, tropical-flavored food, drinks and music are the rule in this place where DJs spin tracks at the weekend, including their regular Brunx hip hop sessions on some Sundays from 1pm to 7pm.
