It’s hard to beat the movie-star glamor and relaxing anonymity of a hotel bar. It’s worth a trip to the sleekly beautiful, 4-star Pulitzer hotel (hiding in plain sight next to Plaça Catalunya) just to check out the interior, created by award-winning local designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán.
The food here is good: seasonal Mediterranean with Asian touches. Try the weekday lunch menu for €18 with a choice of 6 starters, 6 mains and 6 desserts. But the bar is perhaps the biggest draw, with creative cocktails like the Tennessee Jam (Jack Daniel’s, bitter orange marmalade, lemon & sugar) or the Lychee Pom-Tini (Cape North vodka, pomegranate & elderflower liqueur, lychee juice), all for just €10. Naturally there’s a special gin ‘n’ tonic menu.
In the summer months keep an eye out for their Visit Up rooftop terrace events.
