Both an art project and an appreciation society, Hungry Castle's ButiClub itself is a strictly Members' Only affair, with only fifty members and a strict door policy: No Badge, No Butifarra. Nonetheless, creative founder Dave Glass is aiming to feed the masses with a range of cultural events combining art, design and lots of delicious butifarra. The club recently held a unique art exhibit featuring stuffed butifarra models at The Private Space gallery, each one hand-stitched and hung in honor of the club's fifty members. And Hungry Castle has now launched a line of limited edition t-shirts emblazoned with images of the famous sausage itself.

This month sees the release of Members & Lovers, a new double book dedicated to the legendary dish and the people behind the club, with a public launch held at La Pineda, the deli, restaurant and authentic Catalan xarcuteria where the original ButiClub was born. The event will allow fans to purchase the book for the reduced priced of four euros before having it signed by founding club members José and Antonio. A mini installation of butifarras and a small exhibition of photos will also be on display, and there will of course be sausages to sample along with plenty of vermouth. Mixing Catalan tradition with contemporary art and design, this is a great event for foodies and art buffs alike.
