Barcelona can be an overload on the senses. Every street and alley offers an appetizing-looking bistro, but as any seasoned pro knows, finding the gems means a solid recommendation. Luckily Trafalgar, the latest endeavor from artisan sangria wunderkinds Casa Lolea, are offering a first-rate Mediterranean menu and incredible rooftop terrace at the Yurbban Trafalgar hotel.Naturally, there’s a fine cocktail menu, prepared by award-winning mixologist Patxi Paniagua using Lolea’s five different sangrias: try the Organic Paradise, made with Lolea Nº 4, ginger cordial and whiskey. There are also daily sangria tastings at 7pm for the hotel’s patrons. The plates themselves are filled with local delicacies such as piglet with roasted apple, sautéed mushroms & egg, and croquettes.Special attention has been paid to rice dishes: the seafood paella or black creamy rice with sepia are a real treat. Add in an upstairs terrace with panoramic views of the city, and you’ve got no excuse not to investigate.
